Webster Applied Research Program

August 31st, 2009

Purpose:

The purpose of the Webster Applied Research Program (WARP) is to give you an opportunity to apply the knowledge you gain in the classroom by working on real-world problems. Prizes will be awarded to the best projects, and they will be published in an anthology that will be distributed to companies and individuals. This publication will give valuable exposure to the best students, and allow them to make useful contacts for their future careers.

What do you get our of it? The best projects will be published in an anthology. This could be used in the promotion of the university, and it could be distributed to companies to give exposure to the students.

Also, WE would offer an attractive cash prize to the winner(s), and the best projects would receive recognition in the form of an official certificate/commendation.

WARP offers you the chance to unleash your creativity and imagination, and take the first steps in changing the world!

Additional component of the program: In parallel with the competition, WE will also organize a number of interesting guest speakers who will stimulate your thoughts and imagination. The rest of these guest lectures will be in Fall on the topic, "How To Do Business in Central and Eastern Europe".
