Webster Entrepreneurs team members were present at the meeting with Dr. Johannes Hahn, Austrian Minister for Science and Research. Dr. Hahn promised to send all the information about the funds, project requirements and procedures.
Spud Fast-Food Project
Our team has developed a brand name called “SPUD” (slang word for potato). The main concept of the fast-food restaurant is to specialize in one single product, in this case a potato (to be precise: mashed potato).
The project was further supported though guerilla marketing: Different catch-phrases (such as "Spud me") were advertised throughout the entire Webster campus in a teaser-campaign for the new product, before finally unveiling it a couple days later.
In only 13 hours, our team sold over 55 kg of potatoes (or 120 pieces of "SPUD").
